Running a little behind with this email, I
guess because we're having too much fun.
Today we are renting a pontoon boat for a
half a day and cruising up the chain of lakes.
Between each lake is a small canal.
We can only go as far as lake 4 because the
canal to lake 5 is to shallow.
The weather is awesome. About 80 and
sunny.
From the lake we can see Bald
Mountain.
With my camera I can zoom right up there.
This beats climbing up there.
As we were going between lakes 3 and 4 look
what we found
taking a bath up ahead of us. He looks
friendly !
But the closer we got the bigger he got.
Does anybody have any bear repellant
?
He decided that we did not look good
enought for breakfast I guess.
Back to the woods for some peace and
quiet.
Good thing the captain ran him
off.
No wonder the bear took off look what it
was looking back at.
After that the rest of the trip was
somewhat uneventful.
Oh we did manage to get a tie line tangled
up in the purpeller
but Prilly made the supreme sacrifice and
jumped in and got it out.
We got back about noon to the dock and had
lunch at the Muffin Patch. Then packed up and headed back
to Horseheads.
